Version of 6 October 2026.
This is a translation. The French version prevails in case of discrepancy.
The principle
Verdict has no database of conversations. Your screenshots are read in memory during the analysis, then thrown away. Nothing is written to a disk, nothing is put in a storage space, nothing is recorded in a log.
What happens exactly
- Your screenshots are resized in your browser, then sent to Verdict's server to be read.
- The transcribed text is used to produce the verdict, then encrypted with a key that never leaves our server.
- This encrypted block is sent back to your browser and lives in the tab you're in. We keep no copy of it. Your browser can't read it either: it needs the key, and the key stays with us.
- When you pay, the server checks your subscription with Whop, decrypts the block and sends you the verdict. Closing the tab erases everything.
- To decode a message, the chat you send follows the same path: read in memory, then encrypted with the result. Only the measured gaps, their level and the number of messages read stay readable in your tab.
- Memory of a person. When you give a name, Verdict keeps what it needs to decode better next time: their latest messages, yours, and a note on how they text. All of it is encrypted by our server and stored on your phone only, unreadable without our key. We keep no copy: it only comes back to us when you start a decoding with that person, and stays only for that decoding. In plain form on your phone there is only the name you chose and two counters. “Forget” on the decoding page erases everything, and so does clearing the site's data.
- To enforce the daily analysis limit, your IP address is turned into a fingerprint, with a secret key and the day's date. The fingerprint can't be turned back into the address, nor link two days together, and it is deleted after two days.
- If you arrive through a creator's link, a cookie keeps their code for 30 days, to pay them their share if you get a pass. It holds only that code.
- A WhatsApp export is read in your browser. Only your latest 200 messages are sent to our server, then they follow the same path as the text of your screenshots. Shared from WhatsApp to the installed Verdict app, the file stays on your phone until it's read, then it's deleted.
Processors
- Google (Gemini API) reads the screenshots and writes the verdict. Data sent through the API is not used to train models.
- Whop processes payments. Verdict never sees your card number.
- Supabase hosts the service's only three tables. The first counts the analyses opened by each subscription: a row holds a membership ID, a technical verdict ID and a date. The second counts the steps taken each day, as aggregated numbers, without any identifier. The third holds the daily limit: the fingerprint described above and a number. No message, no verdict, no address, and no way to follow someone from one step to the next.
- Stripe processed payments until 22 September 2026 and is still queried for subscriptions taken out before that date.
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps technical logs (IP address, timestamp, response code), without any conversation content.
Your rights
Since Verdict keeps no account, no conversation and no history, there is nothing to export or delete on our side, apart from the counters described above. The memory of people is on your phone, and you erase it yourself. Payment records are kept by the processor for accounting and legal reasons. For any question, write to the contact address given in the terms of use.
What Verdict doesn't do
No reselling of data, no targeted advertising, no monitoring of another person. Verdict analyzes a conversation you took part in, nothing else. The memory of a person only serves your own decodings: nobody can read it, not even you, and it is never shared.
